Trans Texas Corridor
"Is the United States Giving Away Our Sovereignty?"
by Joyce Morrison
In the past, immigrants who came to the United States were required to have a sponsor and $5,000 in their possession to prove they could sustain themselves without being a burden to their new country..,

Today, millions of illegal immigrants have crossed the Mexican border into the United States. Illegal immigrants, including Mexicans, Iranians, Chinese and other nationalities, cross our border unhindered.

Illegal immigrants are now demanding the same rights as United States citizens. They want social security, a driver's license and all Constitutional privileges. Not only are they demanding these rights, they are getting them.

The mystery regarding the negligent border patrol and the liberal attitude of our immigration department seems to have been solved. By the signing of the Security and P r o s p e r i t y Partnership (SPP), Canada, Mexico and the UnitedStates formed the North American Union where these three countries will still have i n d e p e n d e n t governments, but liberal border restrictions.

What is disturbing is that when we open our borders, we will no longer be a sovereign nation. The SPP agreement was signed by the heads of each country and has never been approved by congress, but the plan is progressing at a fast rate.

The U.S. Dept. of Transportation has authorized 100 Mexican truckingcompanies to travel the highways of the United States. This is a major upset to the American trucking companies who are required to follow strict regulations.

Some call the new agreement "NAFTA on steroids" because it is supposed to strengthen the economy of all three countries. Some economists say it will do just the opposite as it opens the ports for more goods from China to replace Mexican merchandise. Presently a "sombrero" can be purchased in Mexican with a tag that reads,"Made in China."

The Trans Texas Corridor, TTC, a superhighway 1,200 feet wide and 4,000 miles long, has been in the planning stages since 2003. It is proposed to run from the Mexican border to the Canadian border. In early May, both the Senate and the House in Texas Legislatures voted almost unanimously for a 30 month moratorium on this proposal. Texas Governor Perry is expected to undoubtedly veto this legislation, but an override is expected.

This plan, TTC, involves millions of acres that are scheduled for paving and the right of eminent domain will surely be invoked to justify the land-gobble waiting for American's homes, farms, ranches, businesses and communities. The sad element of this new proposed "land take-over" is that this is being sold as a means to eliminate and/or assist traffic, especially in heavily populated areas. This Corridor (highway) is scheduled to begin at the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, cross the Mexican border at Laredo, Texas and run along Interstate 35 to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minnesota with many additional ideas being formed such as a Mexican customs inspection facility

planned to be constructed on U.S. soil in Kansas City, Missouri far away from the border. Various facilities of these sorts are being named "Smartports" and will be "untouchable" with the comparable status of an embassy. Along with the bizarre plan is even talk of a new money exchange called the "Amero."

As this little known plan is being uncovered, residents of Texas, Colorado and other states are joining forces hoping to prevent this project from happening before it is too far along to stop. There is muchinformation flooding the internet on this subject. Just put three words in your search: Trans Texas Corridor where you will find more information than your hearts and minds can consume. But, please, search out the facts.

A shortened version of a much longer statement made by Edmund Burke (1729-97) carries a good source of wisdom: "All that isnecessary for evil totriumph is for good men to do nothing." However, God's Word, His Source, speaks about the absolute truth "...mypeople are destroyed from lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6.

Had there not been an outcry for truth and hard work and education of citizens, this corridor might have been constructed beyond the point of "NO RETURN". ("I have made you a watchman: give them a warning from me.". Ezekiel 3:17)
